Mount Calvary English Baptist Church
Manselton Swansea

Facilities

The church carried out major building works during 2011/12 to modernise parts of the building and this work is all paid for. (We have no debts.) Our main church remained much the same and retains pews, although rows at the back have been removed to provide better circulation. It was repainted, new lights were fitted and new carpet was laid. An access ramp is now available to the front door which was updated to a modern glass one. We are equipped with a PA system and fixed projector and computers to run audio/visual material as required. It is also equipped with a loop system. The church retains a functional baptistry.

The ancillary rooms were altered to provide a new kitchen and toilets. We are registered as a "food business" with Swansea City Council and have achieved the highest, level 5, hygiene rating.

Alterations were made to the main hall, with better access from the street and redecoration. The hall is also equipped with a PA system with induction loop.

A new meeting room, shown below, was completed along with a new boiler room, new boiler and controls. This meeting room is able to be equipped with a fixed TV and DVD presentation system.

We also have two other smaller meeting rooms, one of which is used as an office and the other has a PA system with induction loop, fixed TV and DVD player and portable projector and DVD system.

There is a grassed area to the side of the church which is able to be used for outside activity, especially by youngsters.

We are not without building problems however; the principal upcoming task will be the roof.
